You’ve noticed your website isn’t getting the “hits” you need. It’s not working out for you like you think it should.
Why You’re Not Getting Found …
There are a number of things that could cause your website to drop out of sight. Here are some helpful ways to update your website so it can be found:
- Update your content. Remove or update what you have on every page of your website and add new content on a regular basis. What you currently have may be old, outdated information. By updating and adding new content, your visitors will have a more valuable experience. As you’re updating, add new keywords and key phrases. Keep in mind that whenever you add new content, the search engine “bots” crawl your site again.
- Add regular blog posts. Consistently give your readers informative and relevant articles. Share tips, news, updates, and industry insights. Be the expert! Always encourage interaction comments to encourage engagement.
- Service or Product Updates. Keep your visitors updated by providing accurate descriptions of your offerings, as well as availability and pricing. Remove outdated or discontinued products to keep your site fresh.
- Testimonials. Regularly update your testimonials. If you have a section that highlights testimonials, be sure to change that up as well. This will continue to build credibility for your products or services.
- News and Announcements. Create a page for News and Announcements where you will share updates about your business. This can be awards, events, community involvement, or new partnerships. Be sure to add this information to your latest autoresponder as well.
- Be sure your website is mobile-friendly. According to Statista, 31.57% of website traffic is generated with mobile devices.
- Update your design. Here’s a statistic you need to consider: 38% of people will stop engaging with a website if the content or layout is unattractive. Your visitors can become frustrated very easily. Make it functional and attractive.
- Add video. People will stop to watch a video. In fact, they will search it out. Training, how-to, DIY! They increase the amount of time they spend on your website, and if there is a clear call to action, they may buy from you!
